“Love your enemies”

“Blessed are the meek”

“Rejoice and be glad when people persecute you”

The Kingdom of Jesus has often been called the “Upside Down Kingdom” because the way of living He promotes seems upside down to the ways of the world.

But the path to true flourishing for life now and forever is through these seemingly upside down ways of living that are actually…right side up.  The beauty of the upside down Kingdom is on full display in Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount.

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit

The very first words of Jesus’ most famous sermon are a powerful summary of the good news Jesus came to proclaim; and to accept them we must recognize just how desperately we need God.
