Unfaithfulness

Prayer, when motivated properly, is an invitation from God to know Him and His ways. Jesus helps us to keep a proper perspective on prayer and avoid making it about us.

Doing the right thing is important, but even more important is doing the right thing for the right reason. Jesus’s disciples are motivated by God’s glory and the good of others in every area of their lives—including in their giving.

What kind of relationship with Jesus do you want to have? What kind of church do we want to have? One clear mark of genuine discipleship is the joy of Jesus in our lives that motivates us to follow him wholeheartedly.

The command to love our enemies is one of the distinctive of Christianity—but would Jesus have told us to do it if we weren’t able to? And what would happen if we took Jesus seriously?

How do you react when someone does something against you? One of Jesus’ most radical teachings is that instead of retaliating we are to love. This is hard to do but it’s the way of the Kingdom.
