Dear Ross Road,
We continue to monitor the public health situation in our province and in our world and adapt accordingly. We were very pleased that we were able to provide on online worship experience last Sunday and plan to do so on an ongoing basis. The website link will be on our website for future worship gatherings at 9:00 & 10:45 am on Sunday mornings. We also hope to increase our online presence in other ways.
In addition to moving our services online for the foreseeable future, we now need to inform our church family that we will be suspending in-person gatherings completely, including children’s, youth, men’s, women’s, and encore ministry events in accordance with recommendations from public health officials. We are asking that ministry teams that need to meet do so via online meeting tools such as Zoom. We are also asking our care groups to consider not meeting in person at this time in accordance with the BC Ministry of Health recommendation against non-essential meetings. While in-person meetings may not be wise at this time, we do believe community is still essential - it will simply need to be practiced in creative ways.
If you find yourself in a difficult situation in which you need groceries, prescriptions, or someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to reach out. If you are able to support people who need things delivered, or could spend some time on the phone checking in with people, please let Pastor Craig or Bobby know. We want to be a welcoming, Christ-centered community even though we cannot meet face-to-face.
Our confidence is fully in God at times like these. We need not live in fear, but rather we must seize the opportunities that this challenge presents. May God’s Spirit encourage you and give you great wisdom.
