The Bible is the clearest way to discover the truth about Jesus. But sometimes, it can be confusing and hard to get started. The Discover the Word Workshop is designed to give you tools to help you discover the riches of the written word of God and, in so doing, discover more fully the living Word of God, Jesus himself.
It will cover topics such as why we read the Bible and what sort of book the Bible is. We will also explore the Bible’s grand story as told through the seven literary genres in which the Bible is written. In particular, we will focus on how to read the gospel genre (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts). This will be a time to learn, reflect, and interact with others seeking to explore the truth of Jesus.
