We have been here in Canada with Helen's dad for a year now! We are grateful for the ways that we have been able to connect and get involved at Ross Road this year and have more opportunity to build relationships than we have in the past during our brief home assignments. Helen appreciated being a part of planning the 75th anniversary celebration and Lisa and Helen enjoyed helping with kids' camp in July! We are thankful for a great care group to be a part of, and for the opportunities Lisa and Michael have had to attend youth and build friendships there. Amidst the challenges we face in helping Helen's dad and in adjusting to life here from West Africa, having Ross Road to be a part of has been a great blessing and encouragement to us.
Dwayne is waiting to hear from the translators who are doing a final read through of the New Testament before proceeding towards publication. Please pray that this final check would be completed soon and that the Lord would encourage and guide Dwayne in the next steps of the process. He has updated the Scripture app of the New Testament for smartphones. Please pray that it would be distributed, used and have an impact in people's lives as they read God's Word.
We were grateful to receive encouraging news about Dwayne's application for permanent residency. It seems to be moving forward, which is great! Please pray that his application would be processed well and that he would be granted residency in God's perfect timing.
Helen is continuing to coach a couple who recently arrived to work in West Africa, as well as meeting with others new to West Africa to help them in their adjustments to life overseas. Pray that she would be filled with wisdom and grace as she connects with and encourages these people.
Thank you for your prayers for Helen as she had a second gum graft surgery in late June. It went well and her recovery has been easier this time around.
Thank you so much for your partnership with us!
