What’s the purpose of the ‘KIDS Zone’ ministry?
We at KIDS Zone help kids…
…to connect with each other.
…to know Jesus better.
…to worship Him.
…do what they’ve learned.
…share Jesus’ love with others.
How does it make a difference for the church?
Investing in our kids’ spiritual lives makes an impact on our families, our neighbourhood, our country, and our world!
How is serving fulfilling?
Not only does God have a plan for the world, he has a plan for our lives!
Jesus said in John 10:10 that he came to not only give us life, but to give us abundant life. God created us each uniquely.
Psalm 139 teaches that we were knit together in our mother’s womb and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God, who
created us, loves us and desires for us to live an abundant life.
Jeremiah 1: 4-5 reads, “The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
We have been given the temperament, talents, and spiritual gifts that God desired us to have in order to do our part. Only when we are doing our part in His Kingdom, does our total person find fulfillment and abundant life. Who we are at our core is inseparably linked to God’s plan!
What spiritual gifts and abilities are required to serve in KIDS Zone?
Not all are required, but here are a few samples...
- Teaching- A passion for God’s Word and desire to teach young kids are helpful to be a KIDS Church leader.
- Organizing- A passion to organize is helpful for getting all supplies together for teachers.
- Music – A passion to lead worship is helpful for leading kids in song.
- Decorating and Hospitality – A passion for this is helpful in investing in the look of our KIDS Zone areas and classrooms.
