Student Ministries
Ross Road Student Ministries is a safe and fun place for kids grade 6-12 to hang-out, meet others, and to learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our mission statement is "Helping Students Find and Follow Jesus". We aim to accomplish that through the following core values.
- Creating a joyful, fun, active, safe yet accountable environment where students can be themselves and grow in God.
- Regular exposure to the invitation and truth of the Gospel - that we have all sinned and need to make a personal decision to follow God through Christ.
- Regular teaching of Biblical truth and doctrine so students may grow in knowledge and discerning in the Spirit.
- Helping students understand their own gifts/giftedness and identity in Christ so as to find their purpose and place in the body of Christ.
- Building relationships with students so as to have a Paul-and-Timothy place to disciple them one-on-one, encouraging, helping, healing.
- Discerning and developing leaders to see students leading students and developing their gifts for adult life and service.
- Encouraging all students to serve one another, locally and globally, in sharing the gospel, helping where needed, and exercising their gifts.
Pastor Craig Thiessen and his wife, Jenny, head up our Student Ministry leadership team, and they are fully committed to helping students find and follow Jesus. They love toc onnect with students and encouraging and equipping them to serve Jesus!
