Discipleship Training

Make Disciples of All Nations

Discipleship International Training

Do you struggle with a personal devotional time?
How many times have you started but got discouraged?
Have you ever wished someone would help you?

Have you ever asked yourself: "How do I fulfill God's commission as a follower of Christ?" or "How do I discover God's will for my life?"

As committed followers of Christ we are all called to make disciples of all nations. Matt 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you and surly I am with you always to the very end of the age.” But how do we do that?

So often as believers we go through a roller coaster of excitements and disappointments as we seek to follow after God. We can become discouraged, feeling like we don’t measure up, or confused as to what God wants for our lives, or life is too busy and it’s hard to find time for God. Maybe you can remember a time when you first became a Christian feeling as though there wasn’t anybody to help disciple you. These are all common struggles that we face as Christians but in Matt 11:28-30 Jesus states “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yolk upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yolk is easy and my burden is light.” If Jesus promises this why then does it not seem to be happening?

As humans we are designed to draw from a power source other than ourselves. We need to stay connected to our saviour in order to be effective for the kingdom of God. John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit.”

Ross Road Community Church offers an “Equip To Serve” (ETS) Discipleship Training class which is based on the well known and respected 2:7 series. The training consists of 6 courses each 12 weeks in length centred around establishing people in their relationship with Christ, equipping them to share about their relationship with Him, and training on how to make committed followers of Christ (Disciples). Through out the course you will learn about the importance of daily Bible reading and journaling, scripture memory , how to effectively share your personal testimony, and many powerful tools to share the gospel. The training will take place in an atmosphere of true fellowship, love and accountability. The 2hr class will be held once a week over the next two years, with a break for summer and Christmas.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the day approaching".

The training is available for anyone who desires to deepen his or her relationship with Christ. Young or old, new in the faith or well established, this training has helped many in their walk with Him.
